At ETCON 2003 we used Hydra (now SubEthaEdit), the collaborative document editor, to keep notes together.

To spread, we sent it to people using Apple iChat, because you could see who was local in the Rendezvous buddylist.

Glancing should have this functionality built in: if you give an AIM name to it, it should self send the client application which, when opened, will give really simple instructions on how to configure and install it.

A good way to spread!
