There were no coffee mugs on the African savannah. There were animals attacking proto humans, and the sun was overhead, but no mugs.

Affordances – the perceived ways of using an object – affordances are learned.

What affordances are potentially present are inherent in the design, but they’re actually relative the person perceiving them. That’s important. You have to notice they’re present, and we’ve been talking about how to make things obviously present.
